Big Thunder Mountain Delayed Again

Well, this is frustrating. According to Disneyland's official website, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which has been closed for over a year, will not reopen until at least March 6th of this year.

All I have to say is, this had better be a spectacular new attraction. But as much as us guests would love to see all the new additions to the ride, we have to remember how hard the Imagineers and construction workers are laboring to complete this project as soon as possible. What would Disneyland be without those guys?

In any case, this will hopefully be our final update until the ride opens in March. Keep your fingers crossed!

Dole Whip Stand Expanding

Our greatest dreams have been realized - the Dole Pineapple Juice Bar outside the Tiki Room is undergoing expansion. Unfortunately, this means you will not be able to enjoy that sweet pineapple nectar or rich golden soft serve until further notice.

On the bright side, this will no doubt reduce the (almost) absurd wait times that usually inhibit the Dole Bar. Ideally, the project should be completed by summer, so stay posted.

Quick Update: Thunder Mountain

As previously mentioned, Thunder Mountain will reopen soon. However, according to numerous sources, its reopening should fall into the early-February range. So get excited!

Even more exciting is that the ride will be operating exclusively for Cast Members in as soon as one to two weeks. Now if I could just get a job at Disneyland...

A Busy New Year

The New Year is finally here, and Disneyland's kicking it off with one of the biggest crowds we've ever seen. The wait times for Space Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and even It's A Small World all extended into triple digits, so if waiting in line is what you like to do, now's the time to head to Disneyland!

2014 has a lot in store for the Disney Parks, most notably the upcoming return of Big Thunder Mountain, which will have been under construction for a year this Tuesday. Disneyland's more elite guests will also enjoy changes to Club 33, taking effect within the next few months. There are plenty more updates to come, and we'll just have to wait and see. Another Star Wars attraction perhaps?

So hang tight folks, because there's plenty more to expect in Disneyland's 59th year.
